Played the carp out of it when it came out. It was always fun to find secret "zoom out" areas where you'd do something and the camera would pan out to make it action / scenic (eg: like high-diving off a cliff into water). It was first released on the Sega Saturn, followed shortly by versions for MS-DOS and the PlayStation. You'll have to fight the chase cam sometimes on this one, but overall it's good. Tomb Raider is a 1996 action-adventure video game developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. But, it did prompt more and more fans to focus on her bust size then on the game play, and later editions of the game started to do that as well (eventually turning her ever-increasing bust size into a running joke). The fact that it had a female lead character wasn't that big of a deal to most players. When you adventured around and discovered new stuff you felt like Indiana Jones. When you killed enemies you felt cool doing it. Platforms: PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation, PlayStation 3, DOS, Sega Saturn, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita. There was just the right mix of action, adventure and puzzles. The John Woo style dual-pistol acrobatic combat also felt really good (riding on the John Woo movie trend of the time). It uses themes from the original Tomb Raider using an improved version of the Legend game engine, and it reimagines some of the original environments from Tomb Raider. The story was interesting, the levels were compelling, the puzzles kept you intrigued. Tomb Raider: Anniversary is the eighth video game in the Tomb Raider series, the second game in Crystal Dynamics 'Legend Trilogy'.
